Event Overview

Name: BPT Club Carrom Championship 2025

Tournament Format

  • The tournament follows a knockout
  • Matches will be played as best-of-3 boards (first to win 2 boards).
  • In team events, each team consists of 2 players (doubles).
  • Rounds: 4 (Preliminary, 2nd Round, Quarter Final, Semi-Final, Final)

Important Rules & Guidelines

Points System

  • A board is won by the first player/team to reach 25 points, or by the highest score if all coins are pocketed.
  • In Kolkata-style play, there is no fixed score to win the tournament—matches are decided board-wise (best of 3).
  • If the queen is pocketed, it must be covered in the immediate next turn (Kolkata Style).
  • If both players win one board each and the third board ends in a draw, a sudden-death tie-breaker is played.
  • Tie-breaker setup: 1 white, 1 black, and the queen placed at the

Time Control

  • Each player has a 30-second time limit per turn (or as agreed before the match).
  • Excessive delay results in a warning, and repeated delays may lead to loss of turn.

Single Entry Fee: CAD$30 per participant (Non-Member), CAD$25(Member),

Early Bird Discount: CAD $5 off (Register by June 20, 2025)

All participants must check-in at least 30 minutes before first match

Prizes

Final Round Winners:

  • Singles Champion: Trophy + Cash Award
  • Doubles Team Champions (per player): Trophy +Cash Award Runners-Up: Trophy for both Singles and Doubles

Housekeeping & Conduct Rules

  • Punctuality: Late arrivals may be disqualified after 10 minutes grace time
  • Dress Code: Non-marking shoes and sports attire required
  • Equipment: Players may bring their own striker
  • Fair Play: No coaching during matches; all disputes settled by match referee
  • Cleanliness: Players must clean up their area after each match
  • Respect: Unsportsman like behavior will result in warnings or disqualification

Additional Notes

  • Refreshments and snacks available for purchase
  • Club volunteers will assist with scoring and management
  • Spectators welcome – entry is free for non-players
  • Photos may be taken for future club promotions
